Why Use Bub

From our research we found that parents were trying some weird and wonderful tricks in an attempt to fix the problems they were having with their baby removing their nappy. In addition we also found thousands more parents facing the same drama on internet sites for parents. There were several solutions that we heard often – mostly ones that didn’t work. By talking to parents we discovered that the baby would often figure out how to overcome any quick-fix and the parents would be back to square one.
Below are the solutions that parents have to choose from:

  • Nappy on backwards - baby soon figures out to reach behind
  • Pull ups over top – baby quickly learns to reach inside to get to the nappy
  • Jumpsuit over top - too hot in summer, some babies can reach inside
  • Duct tape - uncomfortable, uses a huge amount of duct tape, hurts baby when it sticks to skin, dangerous to get off, hard to put on
  • New nappy – wastes a huge number of nappies
  • Smacking – some parents are opposed to smacking, doesn’t solve the actual problem

Button Up Baby cannot be taken off by a child, their hands do not have the fine motor skills to undo the large buttons.  It does not need to be washed after every use and is comfortable to wear.  Button Up Baby fits easily underneath clothing, it does not add extra bulk and it is not too hot to wear in summer.
